| [Brazil] Postdoctoral Fellowship in Photonic Crystal Fibers Fabrication at University of Campinas Posted: Post-doctoral fellowship on Photonic Crystal Fibers Fabrication (silica and special glasses) for applications in optical communications Duration: 2 years, renewable for one more year. Fellowship amount: Monthly allowance for subsistence of BR$ 5,028 (tax free) + annual grant of BR$ 9,050 for small expenses related to research. Location: Optics and Photonics Research Center at Unicamp, Physics Institute, University of Campinas, Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil. Job Description: A postdoctoral position, under the supervision of Prof. Luiz Carlos Barbosa, to work on Photonic Crystal Fibers made of silica and special glasses for future optical communication devices and systems. The selected candidate should conduct experiments and simulations, co-advise the students, engage in international collaborations, and interact strongly with other groups. He or she should explore efficiently our research facilities for specialty fiber fabrication (www.ifi.unicamp.br/foton).
