PhD Scholarship in Herbivory, aboveground-belowground interactions at climate change at University of Copenhagen

Overview
Applications are invited for a PhD scholarship within the following subject area:
Herbivory, aboveground-belowground interactions at climate change Herbivory is an important process in terrestrial ecosystems that depends on climate change effects on the plant as well as on the herbivore. The task of the present PhD is to assess the impact of climate change on invertebrate herbivores above and belowground and the interaction of these herbivores with other organisms consuming plant carbon - in particular from the rhizosphere biota. The project should also assess insect diversity and population development under climate change. The project will be rooted in functional ecology and include a strong aspect of conservation e.g. heathland and grassland management.
