Overview
Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Science (hereinafter referred to as “SIAT”), offers 8 Master`s Degree programs and 2 PhD Degree programs to international students. The duration of a Master program is 2-3 years, and a PhD program 3-6 years. A degree certificate and a graduation certificate will be awarded to those who have completed the prescribed courses and passed thesis/dissertation defense.All the programs are offered in English.

Description
As a branch of the Chinese Academy of Science (CAS) in Southern China, the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology (SIAT) was jointly established by Chinese Academy of Science and Shenzhen municipal government in Feb, 2006. Students enrolled at SIAT can choose to take all courses and conduct research activities in English only, or in Chinese (Mandarin). Knowledge of the Chinese language is not required. Applications with TOEFL or IELTS records (within two years from the examination date) are preferred.

A number of Language and Culture programmes are taught in French, German, Italian and Spanish. Master`s students are closely involved in the research carried out within their department: a number of departments and programmes focus specifically on preparing the master`s student for a career as a scientific researcher. In the master`s programme, teaching is on a smaller scale.

Scuola Superiore Sant`Anna, Pisa, Italy is currently seeking applications for the Ph.D. Program in “Politics, Human Rights and Sustainability”, which is a three-year residential fellowship program, from non-EU citizens.The program is characterized by an interdisciplinary approach to the subject and by the emphasis placed on current problems defining the protection and promotion of human rights.The PhD Program will start on January 19, 2012.
