Overview
Forest and Nature for Society (FONASO) is a three-year world-class Joint Doctoral Programme (180 ECTS). FONASO is part of the Erasmus Mundus programme initiated by the European Commission to enhance and promote European higher education throughout the world. The language of the programme is English.

The main objective of the FONASO programme is to educate the leaders of the future generation of researchers, teachers and top management staff working with sustainable forest and nature management, in both tropical and temperate regions, to ensure wider societal benefits. Within forest and nature management, the programme is focused on the scientific fields of (i) economics and policy, and (ii) ecology and silviculture. The emphasis is on applied research. The FONASO programme is offered by a Consortium that includes globally top ranked universities and leading international research organisations including:

2 PhD positions in History of Science and Ideas at Uppsala University

Overview
The Department for History of Science and Ideas announces two 4-year PhD positions. Currently the whole department employs 20 teachers/researchers and 11 Ph.D.-students. History of science and ideas is taught at the undergraduate level, master`s level and at Ph.D. level. Moreover as to research, members currently undertake a broad range of research topics including History of Science, History of Philosophy, History of Medicine, Cultural History and Media History.

Description
Research proposals in any of these fields are most welcome. Successful candidates will pursue their doctoral studies full-time and are expected to participate actively in departmental activities, by attending seminars, etc. The position might also entail teaching and other assignments. The working language in the Department is Swedish, in the Office it is English, however reading understanding and oral knowledge of Swedish is expected within the first year. Hence research could be conducted in both languages.

Erasmus Mundus Masters in Lifelong Learning: Policy and Management

Overview
The European Masters in Lifelong Learning: Policy and Management (MA LLL) is a multi-site two-year programme, which was established in 2006 under the Erasmus Mundus Scheme. Since then this truly international programme has recruited students and scholars from over 40 countries around the world.

The programme aims at training professionals to develop and implement educational policies concerned with lifelong learning. Graduates of MALLL will be able to promote and manage innovative lifelong learning systems that are suited to the social and organsiational contexts in which they are undertaken.
