Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities:
The postdoctoral fellow is a full-time commitment. The fellow will have two primary responsibilities: (i) to commit to excellence in the electrical and computer engineering area, and (ii) to collaborate with faculty members on interdisciplinary methodological and applied research. The fellow will be expected to participate in world-leading research projects and pursue both internal and external funding.

Overview
The Department of Engineering Cybernetics has a vacancy for a 4-year PhD research fellowship within the automatic control program.

We are seeking candidates with a strong background in systems and control or applied mathematics for research on control and estimation for distributed-parameter systems. While the research topic is initially broad, a specific objective of the project is to develop state- and parameter estimation schemes for application within medical imaging based on ultrasound. Experience with medical imaging is therefore an advantage, but not required. The applicant should possess strong computing capabilities and communication skills in English.
