Post-Doctoral Scientist in Climate and Environmental Data Repositories at The Cyprus Institute

Overview
The Energy Environment and Water Research Center (EEWRC) was established in 2007 as the first research center of the Cyprus Institute. The Center is rapidly becoming an important research resource for the Eastern Mediterranean, Middle East and North Africa. The EEWRC addresses science, technology, economic and policy issues related to major challenges in the fields of energy, environment, climate and water. The EEWRC is being developed in partnership with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the Cyprus Research Promotion Foundation (RPF).

The EEWRC is looking for a Post-Doctoral Fellow with experience and interest in the creation of a regional data infrastructure devoted to climate, water, energy and related topics. This will involve networking activities aimed at regional climate stakeholders (research institutions, public authorities, relevant state agencies, NGOs, etc.) in order to engage key actors into creating the appropriate conditions for the formation of a regional data infrastructure devoted to climate, energy and water related data. The successful candidate will play a key role in an ongoing FP7 research project.
