[Germany] 2 PhD Scholarship Positions in Statistics and Agricultural Economics at Universitt Gttingen Posted: 2 PhD Scholarship Positions in Statistics and Agricultural Economics at Universität Göttingen Overview The Centre for Statistics at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen is inviting applications for 2 PhD Positions in Statistics and Agricultural Economics (75 % E 13 TV-L; 3 years), within the Research Training Group (RTG 1644) on “Scaling Problems in Statistics”, funded by the German Science Foundation (DFG), starting April 1, 2011. The highly interdisciplinary Research Training Group aims at the solution of current questions in the areas of agricultural economics, genetics, ecology, econometrics and remote sensing by means of statistical methods, and at the development of the latter. It distinguishes itself through a structured graduation program, joint supervision, and a study program consisting of methodologically oriented lectures and interdisciplinary research seminars.

The scholarship is part of the research program “Next Generation Robotics for Norwegian Industry (NextGenRob)” funded by the Norwegian Research Council. NextGenRob is a collaborative project between SINTEF, NTNU and some large Norwegian industrial companies. The PhD research scholarship is awarded for a total of 3 years.
