Overview
A PhD Scholarship on recruitment of Baltic cod is available at the National Institute of Aquatic Resources (DTU Aqua) with starting date February 2011. The project will be carried out in the Section for Population Ecology and –Genetics in Charlottenlund.

DTU Aqua is an institute at the Technical University of Denmark. The purpose of DTU Aqua is to provide research, advice and education at the highest international level within the sustainable exploitation of living marine and freshwater resources, the biology of aquatic organisms and the development of ecosystems as well as their integration in ecosystem-based management. The institute has an international research staff comprising approx. 90 academic employees.

Wider context of the project
This PhD scholarship is funded by the DTU Environment.

The overall aim of the PhD fellowship is to close the current knowledge gap, existing between state-of-the-art process models, predicting the fate of xenobiotic organic micro-pollutants (XOMs) and full-scale XOM removal efficiencies observed in wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs). Major outputs of this project shall be a modeling framework developed for assessing the fate of selected pharmaceuticals in WWTPs.

Peace and Conflict Studies Scholarship at the International Peace Research Institute

Overview
The Graduate Studies in International Affairs (GSIA) program in the ANU College of Asia and the Pacific, in partnership with the International Peace Research Institute, Oslo (PRIO) and Bjørknes College, offers one scholarship each year for full-time study in the Master of International Affairs specialising in Peace and Conflict Studies degree program. Tuition fees will be covered by The Australian National University and Bjørknes College; and students will receive some funding towards living costs as a stipend. Please be aware that it may take up to four weeks after arrival in Canberra before you receive your stipend payment. Recipients of the Oslo Piece Scholarhsip should come prepared with their own personal funds to support them for this period.
