Zaragoza Logistics Center (ZLC) and Mdecins Sans Frontières (MSF) are awarding one full tuition scholarship for a qualified applicant with a background or experience in interacting with public health and/or humanitarian and development aid agencies in addition to an interest in pursuing a career in humanitarian logistics to undertake the MIT-Zaragoza Master of Engineering in Logistics & Supply Chain Management (ZLOG) program in the academic year 2011-2012.

Overview
The Doctoral Program (DK) ``Computational Mathematics: Numerical Analysis and Symbolic Computation`` at the Johannes Kepler University Linz, Austria, is offering PhD positions in nine PhD thesis projects for the duration of three years. Our interdisciplinary PhD research program is financed by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF). Its second funding period will begin on October 1, 2011.

Overall goal
Intensive PhD training (interdisciplinary courses and seminars) in two fundamental areas of computational mathematics and their interactions: numerical analysis and symbolic computation.

Overview
Fjla Jnsdttir, Associate Professor in the Faculty of Industrial Eng., Mechanical Eng. and Computer Science, School of Engineering and Natural Sciences, is seeking a student for a Ph.D. project.

Numerical modeling of controlled release of drugs from silicon films The project is funded by the University of Iceland Research Fund for a period of 3 years, starting in the fall of 2011. The project is a collaboration between the Faculty of Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science, the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, at the University of Iceland, and the manufacturing company Össur (www.ossur.com).
