The Centre for Advanced Study Sofia (CAS Sofia) announces a Call for Applications for its 2012/2013 In-Residence Advanced Academia Fellowships in the fields of the humanities and the social sciences.

CAS Sofia invites outstanding scholars to pursue their individual research projects during in-residence periods of up to five months. The invited Fellows participate in the intellectual life and the scholarly community of the Centre (Bulgarian and foreign fellows) while working on projects of their own choice.

AstroMundus is an international Master Course in Astronomy and Astrophysics that is funded by the European Commission within the Erasmus Mundus programme, 2nd Edition, Action 1. The Master course is open to students of all nationalities and is jointly offered by a consortium of 5 Universities in 4 different countries:
  • the Institute of Astro- and Particle Physics, University of Innsbruck (Austria),
  • the Department of Astronomy, University of Padova (Italy),
  • the Astrophysics section of the Department of Physics, University of Rome ”Tor Vergata” (Italy),
  • the Institute for Astrophysics, Faculty of Physics, University of Goettingen (Germany),
  • the Department of Astronomy, Faculty of Mathematics, University of Belgrade (Serbia)
