PhD student computer science, specialisation `human-computer interaction` at Universiteit Hasselt

Overview
More info on EDM and the research at EDM can be found at http://www.edm.uhasselt.be/ We offer a challenging research position in EDM, one of the larger research institutes at UHasselt and a dynamic work environment hosting about 60 researchers. The applicant will be part of the Human-Computer Interaction division of EDM, an established research group approaching HCI from the perspective of user-centred software engineering.

Task description
The research is situated in the domain Human-Computer Interaction. More specific, the applicant will be focusing on Interaction Modelling. This implies investigating and realizing notations, models and tools to design, prototype and ultimately build highly-interactive systems. Examples are the partly automatic realization of the interactive features of virtual environments, interaction with large (multitouch) displays and interaction with distributed ubicomp setups.
