International Master`s Scholarship at University of Oulu
University of Oulu International Master`s Scholarship Programme 2012-2013 (Finland)
1. University of Oulu International Master`s Scholarship
The University of Oulu International Master`s Scholarships provide EURO 2.4 million in financial aid to academically talented international students in architecture, business, economics, education, engineering, and sciences. The scholarship is aimed at students studying for a Master`s degree in the University of Oulu two-year international Master`s programmes*. The scholarship is for one academic year and covers the full international tuition fee.
In order to retain the scholarship in the second year of study, a student must have completed 45 ECTS by the end of their first academic year. If a student does not achieve this requirement, they will be liable to pay the full international tuition fee if they wish to complete their Master`s degree programme.
Fellowships in the Humanities at University of Pennsylvania
Five (5) one-year Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowships are available for the 2012-2013 academic year for untenured scholars in the humanities who received or will receive their Ph.D. between December 2003 and December 2011. The fellowship is open to all scholars, national and international, who meet application terms (see Guidelines below).
The programs of the Penn Humanities Forum are conceived through yearly topics that invite broad interdisciplinary collaboration. For the 2012–2013 academic year, we have set Peripheries as the theme. Humanists and those in related fields are invited to submit research proposals on any aspect of this topic. Exclusions are projects on educational curriculum building and work by performing artists (n.b., scholars of performance are eligible). The PhD is the only eligible terminal degree.
PhD Scholarship in Functional Programming at Chalmers University of Technology
Our group is a leading centre of functional programming research, the source of the QuickCheck testing tool (awarded Most Influential Paper of ICFP 2000 by ACM SIGPLAN), the EQUINOX theorem prover and PARADOX model finder, and the Feldspar signal-processing language (embedded in Haskell, funded by Ericsson, the world`s largest supplier of radio base stations). We also enjoy strong links with industry. We are currently four senior researchers (of whom three are professors), five postdocs, and eight doctoral students; our new strategic grant will fund a significant expansion and a stream of visiting international researchers.
