Overview
Scholarships are granted for one year with the possibility of two extensions of one year each. The scholarships include a monthly stipend of approximately € 1,100. PhD candidates seeking an excellent research environment will find ideal working conditions and maximum support at the GCSC and will have access to all the advantages offered by the GCSC to its members. The current round of scholarships was announced in late 2010 and will start in October 2011.

Postgraduate Scholarship Programme in European Interdisciplinary Studies at College of Europe

Overview
The College of Europe can offer up to ten scholarships to graduates in history wishing to follow the postgraduate programme in European interdisciplinary studies at its Natolin (Warsaw) campus during the academic year 2011-2012.

These scholarships are created in honour of the late Professor Bronisław Geremek and will bear his name.

The beneficiaries of Professor Bronisław Geremek scholarships will be required to write their master thesis on a topic relating to recent European history or to European civilisation.

Interested history graduates are invited to apply online and to send their completed application form together with the required documents to the Admissions Office of the College of Europe in Bruges. It is not necessary to send a copy of the dossier to the national selection committee.

ERASMUS MUNDUS GEM MSc Scholarship in Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation for Environmental Modelling and Management (GEM)

Overview
Five renowned European institutes offer a unique Erasmus Mundus joint European Master of Science (MSc) Course in Geo-information Science and Earth Observation for Environmental Modelling and Management (GEM), which starts annually in September.

The course has a duration of 22 months and will be taught by world class faculties in five countries: Iceland, UK, Sweden, Poland and The Netherlands. While spending time in at least two of the five countries and studying in multi-cultural environment students will gain valuable insight into the academic, social and cultural diversity of northern and central Europe. On graduation they will be offered a multiple MSc degree from the consortium universities.
