Overview
The Government of India offers, every year, 20 scholarship slots to meritorious students from Indonesia to pursue their higher studies in Indian universities and colleges. The scholarships are granted for studies at Undergraduate & Post-graduate levels and in research subjects under M.Phil. and Ph.D.

The scholarships are administered by the Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR) under its General Cultural Scholarships Scheme (GCSS). Applications for scholarships under this scheme are invited in the month of November- December every year. These scholarships are also available for nationals of Timor Leste.

PhD position Statistical Regularisation and Qualitative Constraints at University of Göttingen

Overview
The Institute for Mathematical Stochastic at the Georg-August-University Göttingen is offering a full-time PhD position (salary is based on the German TV-L system, level 13) within the DFG-funded project of German-Swiss Research Group "Statistical Regularisation and Qualitative Constraints"
The position within the sub-project B5 "Partial least squares for serially dependent data" starts on April 1st, 2011 - subject to final approval by the DFG - and will be available for three years.

The project deals with the asymptotic properties of partial least squares method and its application to protein dynamics modelling in co-operation with the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry. Partial least squares is a statistical regularisation method that is closely related to particular numerical mathematics techniques. Therefore, successful candidates should have a strong background in mathematical statistics and/or numerical mathematics.

Overview
The MAHEVA (MAn Health Environment biodiVersity in Asia) project aims to contribute to the strengthening cooperation between European Uni0n Higher Education Institutions and Asia country Institutions, facilitating the mobility of students, researchers and academic staff through a scholarships scheme, curriculum development of the individuals, the transfer of know-how in international mobility and the exchange of best practices.

Candidatures will be open between the 27th September 2010 and the 15th February 2011
